I have not blog for so long because i have been to Mount Ophir for the past few days. I shall write a review on the happenings during this few days ...
Day 1
Today, we all had our dinner and went to Amoy Quee Camp to spend our night there, so that tomorrow morning we can wake up early and have an early trip to Ophir. We were first briefed about th hike up Ophir in the briefing room. We were all then seperated into different groups and I was in Alpha 1 with Luqman and Ian. Soon after the CLTs checked our haversacks, we all were told to sleep in the MPH (multi-purpose hall) which is like so dirty and totally UNCOMFATABLE!!! I had a seriously rough night but it was just the beginning of the adventure that will behold me in the next few days.
Day 2
We woke up very early and had our nice breakfast. Soon we all took up our haversacks and boarded the coach. I partnered with this funny guy called Lemuel who is actually SCARED OF COACKROACH !?!?!?! How the hell did i get such a partner. Even my AKE partner, Haikel is there. We then sat at the back of the coach and soon we all dozed off. We woke up at the Singapore custom and also at the Malaysia custom to chop our passport. When i woke up later, i saw Luqman and Kah Chee sleeping together, head touching head, sleeping together. We all took picture of this BEAUTIFUL scene but i am not able to upload it into my computer today. Maybe tomorrow i would be able to upload all my nice pictures. We reached the resort few hours later and unpack our haversacks and enter another briefing room. We were all briefed on what we were going to do for the next few days in Mount Ophir. Next was the delicious lunch buffet. It was super delicious and i enjoyed it alot but many people complained about it not being up to their standard. That is like totally being pampered. After lunch, we all head to our rooms with our rations which we would be eating when we were hiking. We all packed everything in our room and then we had some free time when we all chat around, waiting for activity time.
We did many things for activity time. For Alpha 1 which is my group, we did flying fox first. It was dam fun and exciting and also at the same time dangerous. The only thing holding you from dropping down onto the ground are your hands and a rope. A ROPE !?!?!?! Imagine that man, jumping down that flying fox 3 storeys high without much safety. When it was my turn, i just jumped and felt the fun and excitement. Everyone should go and try it man. The obstacle course was a little boring as we had to do it slowing, waiting for the others. If you could solo the whole thing as fast as possible, i gurantee fun and pleasure man, and it would also be a test for pakour skills. When we went for the dynamic games station, which was like the most boring station of all, we heard from the others that Kenny, pulled himself up the rock wall without using his legs, and only using his hands. Okay... How sick is that man. I was like TATALLY AMAZED by that. If only i could take a video of it and show everyone out there reading my blog. When it was my turn to do the rock wall, i was totally afraid that i would not be able to finish climbing it, fear coming from the secondary 2 cohort camp. However, i found it quite easy and that i could release 1 hand and 1 leg and still hang on the wall without much effort. I quickly finished the wall and then TK landers sat at under the shelter chatting about Kenny's GREAT wall climbing skills. Soon, we all returned to our rooms to have our shower and rest before dinner. We all had a delicious dinner in a beautiful room. It was more like a resort trip than a NCC trekking expedition. After dinner, we all went into Ian's room to play cards. We all gambled a little and again, the legendary yi feng was the banker. He is the best banker i have seen in my life as he wasnt afraid of losing money and always have a positive thinking that as long as he is the banker, he can earn money. I earned a little from him though and soon was interupted by the Sir CK who was asking for the declaration form. He didn't mind us gambling so we wanted to continue. However, Ian soon found out that he loss $150 from his wallet. When he went to tell Warrant Kitto, he was scolded instead, because he told him too late and that he couldn't do much. We all returned to the room and decided not to play anymore because of our bad mood. When our supper, burgers which we ordered came at last, we all had our supper and soon we all went to sleep.
